The event showcases the seven piece band with a sound that bounces from funk to rock in a showstopping style; widely compared to The Roots and once famously described as 'Led Zep meets The Fugees,' Shorty will be making their first appearance in Reading, as part of Screwball Cabaret.
Shorty, who come to Reading straight from appearances at both the 02 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park and Ashton Court Festival in Bristol, are not only the UK's premier hip hop band, but also a nationally acclaimed live phenomenon. They have supported the likes of heavyweights Roots Manuva, EMF and Courtney Pine and have appearances on MTV, BBC, ITV, Sky and an international advertising campaign with Pepsi Cola under their belts. The band are set to release their debut single 'I Try' on October 16th on Gravy Records. Check out their free Baby J produced mixtape from www.shortyonline.co.uk

London's Hundred Handed's rhythms are insistent, their melodies infectious, they refuse to be swayed by musical fashion and claim to have never knowingly recycled a 'riff' or 'hook'.
"Nothing they do comes across like a pose or as if it has come about by design, rather they have simply thrown chunk after chunk of twisted ideas into a single spot until the pieces combine into some great ugly monument" This Is Not TV, 2004
